Timothy Schaffert, Harvey Award-winning and Eisner Award-nominated artist Jose Villarrubia, and and illustrator-comic book author Jean Frederic Kone‘s graphic novel EASY TO LOVE, a fictionalized portrait of Matt Baker, a queer Black cartoonist celebrated for his “good girl art,” like the controversial Phantom Lady, who helped define the romance genre while navigating his own secret love life in 1950s Manhattan, to Mark Irwin and Mike Marts at Mad Cave Studios, for publication in February 2027, by Alice Tasman at Jean V.
